STLCFD was founded in 2009 by Nancy D. Spargo, AM, LCSW and Ryan R. Lindsay, MSW, LCSW in order to fill gaps in the quality of mental health services in the St. Louis region. Nancy’s decades of providing mental health services to marginalized populations including foster and adoptive families, the homeless , immigrants and refugees, and the LGBT community which led to an expertise in trauma and systems change, combined with Ryan’s training and experience in the delivery of scientifically supported treatments for mental health conditions fused to launch a mental health organization aimed to bring the highest quality services and training to members of the St. Louis community.

STLCFD Mission

To assume a leadership position and become the provider of choice within the St. Louis community by promoting and enhancing the growth and development of underserved families through evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions, and by providing training for other community providers.

OUR Vision

Every family has accesses to state-of-the-art, high quality, professional mental health services that are culturally informed.
