Jennifer Nestor graduated with her Masters of Social Work from Washington University and is currently a Licensed Master of Social work (LMSW). During graduate school she spent over 900 field hours at STLCFD and Washington University’s Trauma Response Program being trained in Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). Post graduate school, Ms. Nestor has provided individual, group, and family therapy at a residential treatment facility, as well as, mindfulness-based skills groups, individual skill coaching and implementing trauma-informed care within the school system. Ms. Nestor’s expertise includes working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, and emotion dysregulation. As a member of the post-graduate fellowship program at STLCFD, Ms. Nestor will provide DBT to adolescents and adults and she is a member of STLCFD’s DBT consultation team. In her spare time, Ms. Nestor enjoys going to baseball games and loves scary movies, especially if they were made prior to 1990.
