Dialectical Behavior Therapy is considered one of the most effective therapies for individuals who experience multiple life problems, experience suicidal thoughts and/or actions, engage in behaviors that harm one’s body, and have problems managing emotions. DBT combines individual sessions and group skills training that focus on increasing one’s ability to handle stressful situations, regulate emotions, and address problems in relationships.
